Palliative care is all complementary measures to curative treatment to improve the quality of life of patients and their families on the physical, emotional, social and spiritual domain. These acute care delivered by a multidisciplinary team, in a holistic approach to the person with a serious illness, progressive or terminal. They should help relieve pain, ease mental suffering, safeguard the dignity of the patient and support his entourage.

Palliative care is an integral part of the care of children with cancer. Talking about palliative care comes to recognize the existence of failure situations and therefore to undertake a new strategy to offer the best quality of life for terminally ill children and their families. In Morocco, everything remains to be done in the field of pediatric palliative care from the awareness of caregivers about the importance of the organization of teams of fixed and mobile care

A multidisciplinary team is in charge of delivering pro active care for people with serious, progressive or terminal illnesses. The main purpose is to relieve pain, mental suffering, to protect the dignity of the patient and finally to support the family circle.

Palliative care is an integral part of quality cancer care as far as children are concerned. Talking about it comes to recognize the possibility of failure and therefore, this, leads to undertake a new strategy which aims at providing the best possible quality of life for whatever time remains.
In Morocco, there is still a great deal to be done in the field of pediatric palliative care.
The work should start with an awareness campaign among the medical staff and a complete reorganization of the health medical system to have fixed and mobile medical units to optimise efficiency in Healthcare.
