The word news stays the same either in a plural or singular form. You can check irregular plurals to verify.
But it's uncountable so it does not take the indefinite article "a", so I suggest that you say: "some good news"

Really? I'm just repeating what one of my former teachers told me last year... i thought it was impossible to tell "a news"... okay thanks for the piece of information ("piece of" here??? lol)
ps: that's why i put "il me semble..."

@nayima : "a piece of news" is grammatically correct, but it's not very used. You just say "news", in singular or plural.

I've seen the news.
I've got news for you.

As Horizons said, it is uncountable, so when you use it in singular, you don't put the article "a" before.

oki bah tu sais c la fac... on apprend que ce qui sert a rien...
au fait, tu sais pr mon tèl, jlai eu ds le baba... il me l'ont pris 2 semaines (me l(ont échangé avc une matraque, un nokia 3310...) puis a la fin, m'ont dis le technicien n'a décelé aucun problème... kel *******! gt verte de rage....

c clair jvoulais tuer le gars à l'accueil... en plus, ct pas le mm qui m'avait accueilli ya 2 semaines... lui était assez charmant, jlavai embobiné assez facilement... bah tant pis! je saurais au moins ou ne plus acheter de portable et quoi que ce soit d'autres... et jme suis pas génée pr lui dire au gars... LOL
