Diversity immigrant visa program 2013

Les Canadiens ne sont pas éligibles pour le Diversity Visa. Reste a voir si les Américains vont accepter la demande d'un Canadien d'origine Marocaine ou pas. Plusieurs pays ne permettent la double nationalité comme le Japon, Allemagne et Arabie Saoudite donc ça reste a voir d'un point de vue légale comment les Americains prennent la chose.

PS: Même dans les Etats Unis il n'est pas permis d'obtenir une autre nationalité après avoir eu celle de l’Amérique. Il y a plusieurs cas au Canada d’américains qui ont perdu leur nationalité Américaine après avoir obtenu la Canadienne.

i live in Montreal , we took part my wife and i in the 2012 Dv program and were among the winners , we filed the forms and were given an appointment last December at the American consulate here in Montreal but we just did not attend it for we thought Canada is A better option for us ,anyway i just want to mention that my wife has the Canadian citizenship so that is not a problem coz when you apply for the lottery you claim eligibility according to the place where you were born not the place where you live .

U r the perfect immigrant for the visa officer. You already know the country, the culture and have a local degree. He won't spend too long with you.
Ana just to get a tourist visa mchit ka nedwi m3ahh in English, and showed I know the country inside out. He gave me a 10 years visa without asking for any bank statements or documents. They are not stupid, they see right away someone who is fishy or legit.

Mais ils demandent pas les CV dans le formulaire de participation juste des trucs banale comme smiyet bbak smiyyet moukk date de naissance et adresse.

5 ans mais il faut ne jamais sortir des USA pour + de 6 mois durant les voyages a l’étranger quand on a le status de Alien Resident.

You're lucky. I've been applying for this Lottery for more than 6 times . And This year again I got the answer on that website : "The entry has not been selected" .. If I got a US visa, I would not think twice about Canada or US. As one member said, you got a US diploma, Speak the language so it's better to choose US..Any way, After that you can go and get a job in Canada after all Congrats again..as you said, it depends on you , you still have time to think about it.
For Yassine2500; when you applied to US tourist visa, you were in Morocco? Because I want to apply and really need to have it. I've already had a tourist visa last july but just for 3 months and I didn't had to show anything 'cos it was through a program organized by US Embassy in Rabat. I want to apply this year by myself and have an invitation from an american friend.. Hope you' give me some tips

C long comparant au Canada qui est à partir de 2 ans et demi. Donc il va falloir prendre la decision de laisser tomber le job au Maroc pour cela ...

I have never applied for Green card Lottery even when I was in huge need of it when I was there, but this year I apply for it randomly and I forget about it until before yesterday. Keep applying until u will have your chance.

You can have 100 millions in your bank and get refused. It is not money the factor. They say clearly that the visa officer has to be convinced you have strong ties to the country which prevent you from immigrating illegally to the US. The key is to show that you have a life in Morocco, and you can't just walk away from your obligations to overstay your visa in the US.

Dans mon cas, j'etais directe avec l'agent puis ce que je savais ce qu'il cherchait a savoir. Je lui est dis que je suis deja etudiant a Montreal et que mon dossier d'immigration est deja en cours de traitement pour le Canada. Mon seul interet pour les US c'est d'aller a NY quelques fois pour le shopping et tourisme. Le gars a biensur etait convaincu et m'a donne les 10 ans sans hésitation.

Thanks for advice... I was not lucky to get 10 years last july, I had only 3 months... I don't know how to show strong ties to my country but my job and family (i'm not married)..I'll try and see.. thanks anyway...I'll tell the agent that I'm in my way to immigrate to Canada
