I don't know, I think that if i'm not interested into the book since the beginning, i'd never gonna have the patience to read more !
But sometimes I'm totally into the story since the first page and then, it's ok !

your title is little bit confusing,"Hello, who wants to talk for pleasure" you should say " Hello, who wants a pleasure talking?" because for pleasure , it sounds call girls, sorry!

Maybe you didn't understand what I meant by telling her that because my point was to correct her sentence "salut qui veut parler pour plaisir" even in French we don't say that.
