I want to learn a new word today … but I’m afraid it may not exist.

Is there a noun meaning “cached item” in a single word?

Today I overheard a conversation between two co-workers.
So as they were talking, they kept saying a word I could not quite catch.

Blablabla lingeraaaay blablabla lingeraaay

Until I understood they were actually talking about underwear ... LINGERIE :D

Don’t tell me you have never heard the word LINGERAY before

I didnt know it was one of those french words used in english. But the way they pronounced it cracked me up ^^

He's from Canada... what did you expect??

Could have been lingering also.... but can't imagine some bimbo adjusting her lingering

I'm French, born and raised. Just hanging around here :p

Yup.

Bootlegger is also a synonym ;)

See how listening closely to US rap songs can be useful ? :D lol

Cool, I did not know about bootlegger!

Do you mean you can actually understand what is said in rap songs? Those rappers mumble so much and speak so quickly that I hardly understand anything.

No I don't understand the whole thing effortlessly, of course. But when it's a song I listen to a lot, I end up understanding the most part. And I read the lyrics when I really like the song because I need to understand what it is about :)
