Hi All,

Hope all is well. This message is intented to people who are currently living in London (UK).
I'm highly interested in working in London. I have a couple of questions :

1 - Can you please give me a list of recruiting web sites such as Monster.
2 - Can you please give me a list of head-hunters specialized in Finance.
3 - RENT : Where should I look for rent (An area not far from downtown and not expensive)
4 - Salary : I heared that people in UK are paid on a weekly basis?. Is that true?.
5 - Salary : What is approximately the salary of a Senior Analyst?.
6 - Air plane : How much does it cost a round-trip ticket (Casablanca-London) ?.
7- Grocery : Where Can I find HALAL groceries?.
8 - Mosque : Where are Mosques located in London?.

Best Regards.

Mounir

Hello SonnyCrockett,

First of all, thank you very much for your answer. To answer your question I have never been to London.

By the way, 2 companies from London contacted me this week. If everything goes well i will have to travel to UK for a week or 2 weeks to assist to my interviews.

Do you know a place (Secure and Quiet) where I can stay for a week or 2 weeks that does not cost too much. Even if it's located far from downtown (I'll take the bus or the subway)????.

Cheers.

I asked the question because I could notice that you don't know anything about London :)
Everything is expensive there, especially accomodation and transport. Be prepared !
I would advise you to look for a temporary flat (check on Gumtree, be careful, a lot of scammers there) or a hostel (www.Hostelbookers.com). I rented a bed in a room, we were +/- 10 persons in the room (paid 15 £ a night)...I don't know what kind of place you are looking for but a hotel that's quite expensive. Stay not far from where your appointments are taking place to avoid transport (expensive). Once you are there, you could attend other interviews, in 14 days you could attend more than 2 meetings.
Concerning the salary, try this :

Concerning mosques and muslims, London and Birmingham are the cities where most muslims live in the UK. I was in Liverpool, beautiful mosque there but always empty.
