The only
TLS I know is the Transfer Layer Security. It used to be called SSL. Not anymore.
It is basically a
transparent layer built on top of TCP. Meaning it can be easily plugged on
top of any server-client application that uses TCP. It gets a little complicated as it uses
PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).
Usually a
TCP server would have an X.509 certificate and the client may or may not. It is very popular and it heavily used
to secure the web-based traffic (
HTTP/HTTPS).
We have generalized it to
group-based and multicast archictectures using an efficient approach based on
Diffie-Helman.
We have added support for proxy certificates to allow for
delegation services.
We We We We ....
That is what we do.
C'est le TLS dont tu parles?
