j'ai commençé par : hello , I hope that you are not too much tired by this long journey .
Before beginning your visit in New York , it is better you rest so that tomorrow you make very good activities .
For it I propose you 414 Hotel situated in the center of Manhattan, this character hotel offers comfortable rooms and ideal private court to relax in some steps of Time Square.

1- Most of the interesting tourist sights are of course in Manhattan, but some are located either in Brooklyn or the nearby islands.
2- In a two days visit, it's impossible to see everything, better focus on what really matters for the group: Museums, parks, historic buildings or just fun and shopping.
3- You can't visit New York without seeing the statue of liberty. There are ferries to get you there, but you'll have to wait toooooo long (at least two hours in the line). One alternative is to take the Staten Island Ferry, it's free, AND you get really close to the statue.
4- Close by, there's the financial district (the NY Stock Exchange, the federal reserve bank), and of course, Ground zero...etc.
5- The empire state building is interesting only for those who like being "on top of the world". The view is breathtaking, worth paying for. The nights can be spent at Times Square...lights lights and lights.
6- The museums in NY are really really interesting (especially, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum Of Modern Art MOMA).
7- Shopping: the 5th avenue, Madison street are THE place. Most tourists also suggest dropping by MACY's.....(although there's nothing interesting there).

And finally, the best way to get the best view of NY is from the Brooklyn bridge.

Tu peux insister que l'hotel (is a few steps away for Times Square, fifth avenue and on walking distance to the empire state buillding...etc).
