Fatima’s child’s story—11-year-old child who was beaten by a female teacher in Agadir

My name is Safaa. I am 11 years old. I am at grade five studying at school El Moukhtar Soussi, city of Agadir in Morocco. I am scared to attend my Arabic class. On Monday I was just trying to get a bottle of water and my teacher thought that I was talking to my female peers and asked me to stand up, beat me with blue gas hose first on my foot and then on my shoulder. I was crying tears and now I am scared to death of my Arabic teacher.

It’s the old school method to rule a classroom and even though it sounds harsh, I think it’s the correct way to teach in this modern day world
 
Shocking!! You must be a teacher too! So you are okay with a teacher hit a child to blood just because she was thirsty and tried to get a bottle of water, hum, good to know

No I’m not a teacher and no I didn’t mean hitting till blood comes out. I don’t know the context but generally students tend to belittle the teacher if there’s no disciplinary action taken and thankfully in Morocco it’s not frown upon to give small disciplinary hits something you can’t do in the western world

Non c'est vraiment mal de faire ça
A traumatiser les gosses, leur faire perdre le goût pour les études.
En plus c'est souvent les enfants les plus vulnérables ( pauvres, avec difficultés, etc) qui sont battus

Oui ta parfaitement raison j’ai pas porter attention sur ce point là
 
His mother is reporting: This is unacceptable. He hit my son on his head using a wood paddle just because he could not do his homework!!😦

How come a French teacher could act the way on the above video! Hit a 12-year-boy student so badly. We have a real problem and we have to include mental health assistance or program for all teachers across the country.
