My First Born Aya is in the clear for now. But soon she will be heading to the Imperial Marrakesh and to The Atlas Mountains.

Khalti Batoul had a Grand Villa in the Imperial Marrakesh. Very nicely located
After the earthquake, I spoke to cousin Abdelhaq and he assured me that the house
did not suffer any damage and added "the house was built using Rocks from Jbel Gueliz."

Anyways Khalti Batoul never left Marrakesh during the summer. She loved it. She used to smile and say
"You know everyone leaves to escape the heat and I get Marrakesh All To Myself."

Love It Reaction GIF by The Drew Barrymore Show

She would water the trees in her beautiful charming garden after the sun goes down
and she would sit and enjoy her coffee right next to the water fountain.
Khalti Batoul would always put cinnamon in her coffee.

The thing about Khalti Batoul she was always smiling and joking ... Easgoing ... A Happy Woman. God Bless her.

Let It Go Chill GIF by The3Flamingos

We only lived a few blocks from Khalti Batoul and so I spend a lot of
time there playing with my cousins ...

The Imperial Marrakesh.

So you have Les Jardins de Majorelle, right behind it some Grand Villas.
Amazing Villas .Mehlal. Chaaboune ... You cross the street you find Khalti Al Batoul
A few blocks away you find us. Oudghiri Family ..... You keep
going for a few more blocks ,you find El Alami ... Then Laaini's Villa. A charming villa
but not that big.
Laiini (My Eye) was my mom's best friend. Every year I would call her
to wish her Happy Eid. This last Eid was no exception. She Loves It. "Thanks for calling. But
I am not surprised son. You have been raised by Karima and Si Abderahmane. Wa Niima Tarbia. God Bless Them"

Laiini's villa sold a couple of months ago for Over 7 MILLION DOLLARS.

So what, who the fu..ck cares anyway, seriously ?

On t'aime bien, moi le premier, mais bon a un moment donne faut arreter avec ca.

Heat==>Marrakesh===>Khalti Batoul Never Left Marrakesh In The Summer. ...

Shoud I continue?

Back in the day. In the 70s Marrakesh was not that big. Bigger than Agadir of course. But still.
The kids I was hanging out with came from different backgrounds and we all meet one way
or another. I could classify the wealthy kids in the following categories.
1) The Nobles.
2) The Old Money.
3) The New Money.

The New Money Types would go to Rene elementary school and lycee Victor Hugo.
They would speak Frog language (French) .....It made them feel good about themselves.
The Nobles and the Old Money went to public schools and spoke darija. Sure they spoke
Frog language if they had to .....

When I was a kid, I did not really care that much... But now I feel sorry for them. I do however believe that
Morocco needs to find a way to bring down the number of these Frog Lovers ....

Explaining Cameron Smith GIF

These new money types have no excuse. They can learn the Arabic language. .... Private tutors ....
Some do change once they grow up. But unfortunately, some actually think they are frogs.

Crazy. Right? I mean Who The Fock Wants To be A Frog?

You are not making ANY sense at all, we are talking about the freaking hot weather in Morocco, not your memories in Marrakesh.
Keep behaving that way and one day you will end up in some mental hospital.

We used to play soccer outside of College Lalla Meriem .... and this Arabic teacher used to come and watch us play.
He was from Tanja. Anyways after the exams most of the guys did poorly. So the teacher told the guys:
"I highly recommend you stop following Saint John and use the time to study harder ... "

Then there is this other teacher. He taught us French. A big guy. This other kid and I messed with this girl. She told
on us. The other kid's name is Ait Lahcen. We are connected on facebook. He is in Canada The teacher called Ait Lahcen
and kicked the shit out of him
. I could not believe my eyes. Ait Lahcen was flying ... The teacher went really crazy on him.

Then he calls my name. I got up and walked to the teacher. I was ready. I had it coming.

The teacher tells me. "Saint John. This is not good. Next time I will tell your dad. Now go sit down."

Both scenes took place in the Imperial Marrakesh. I am pretty sure It was not summer time. No Heat.

I have been waiting on these two numbers to be above one million. One number is lagging. Do you see that?
That's a problem for Tuesday. It is taking longer than I thought it would. So I do have a little time to tell you guys more
Marrakesh stories. But do they have to be related to the heat?

Good Morning.

I was at Cisco Systems and I ran into one of the top bosses.
How is it going Saint John? Are we going to meet the deadline?
"Not Sure Sir. Too Many Clowns. Where do you guys find them?"

He smiled and shook his head... but the message reached home ... I spent six years at Cisco.
It was fun. Well except for the clowns. It was not fun for them.

I remember there was this big architecture meeting ... One asshole was really
tough on this other asshole. The first asshole is a big shot. The second asshole
is a clown who does know that he is a clown but he happens to be on my team.

Anyways at one point, the big shot yelled "Are You Wasting My Time?"

I wanted to laugh
but then I Remembered that the Clown is Actually On My Team
and so I stepped in and saved the day. "What The Clown is trying to say ...."

The funny thing is that after the meeting this lady manager came to me and said. "Thank you Saint John for stepping in."

My little brother is 12 years younger than me. I think he is a clown. He told me once "I am more Marrakchi than you."
What makes you say that? I asked.
"You were born in Agadir."
