Quran in english

I got to find a good translated Quran version for a friend who wants to discover the religion. Can you recommend a good "Author" ?

I don't know anything about the translated versions in english, but i guess you should go to a specialized library and ask there...Most popular translation is from abdullah yusuf ali.
