Allah yrhamha !

Rabat – Moroccan journalist Malika Malak is suffering one of the worst episodes of her life, after she was a victim of medical malpractice.
A month ago, Malak was admitted in emergency to a clinic in Rabat where she underwent two surgeries.
Following the surgeries, Malika’s condition kept worsening to the point where she was transferred to Rabat’s Military Hospital a week ago at the request of King Mohammed VI.
The journalist’s family said although she has been carefully monitored by medical professionals at the military hospital, her health condition has been deteriorating.
Malak underwent to a series of tests, and “after fluoroscopy, doctors found a foreign body inside her body,” one of her relatives was quoted by Moroccan media as saying.
The medical team discovered a dressing compress that was forgotten at the time of her first two surgeries at the Rabat clinic.
“This is very serious. What happened is a crime,
” Jaouad Benaissi, one of Malak’s relatives said angrily, denouncing the medical malpractice, according to Le360.
Benaissi demands, on behalf of the Support Committee, that judicial sanctions be taken against the medical team that performed her first two surgeries and stitched her up without removing the compress.
“This only further complicates the situation,” Bennaissi stressed, adding that Malika’s situation “is very bad” as her condition and morale deteriorate, according to the same source.
